Creating a new mail account using Outlook 2003
How to create a new email account for Outlook 2003.
Other versions of Outlook will be very similar. For other email clients like Mac Mail and Thunderbird please refer to their help documentation.
Step 1
In Outlook, click on the 'E-Mail Accounts...' option under Tools: -

Step 2
Select 'View or change...' and click Next

Step 3
Click on the 'Add' button

Step 4
Choose POP3 or IMAP. If in doubt, choose POP3, or find out more about how to choose between these email protocols.

Step 5
Complete your account details. If your ISP has provided you with an Outgoing Server, e.g. smtp.broadbandprovider.co.uk, use this instead of mail.rezolve.eu. For SmarterMail you need your full email address as the User Name. With other providers this may not be the case.

Step 6
Click on 'More Settings...'.
Under the General tab you can change the name of the account - this only affects how it appears in your list of account in Outlook. Enter an Organisation if you want to.

If you set your outgoing server to 'mail.rezolve.eu' you must tick the box for 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication', and choose 'Use same settings...'. Without this you won't be able to send emails.
If you are using your ISP's mail outgoing mail server you may not need to do this. Check your ISP's documentation for details.

Click OK to close the advanced settings window.
Finish
If you set up a POP3 account you can use the 'Test Account Settings...' button to test sending and receiving emails.
Click 'Finish'
